Eileen and Kimberly Petrucha

Eileen and Kimberly Petrucha have been operating an over 200-year-old family cattle ranch in Matagorda County for more than 15 years. Over time, their passion for animals has expanded to include luxury boarding for both dogs and cats. Their lifelong dream of caring for animals has transformed their working ranch, home to a herd of Red Brangus cattle, into a state-of-the-art pet retreat.

Both Eileen and Kimberly have cherished animals since childhood. A Texas native, Eileen comes from a long line of cattle ranchers and has deep roots in Matagorda County. Kimberly, originally from Akron, Ohio, now calls Texas home. Together, they have created a space where pets are not only cared for but also nurtured and celebrated.

The ranch is a haven for all types of animals, with particular attention given to crafting a comforting environment for dogs and cats. Eileen and Kimberly’s personal menagerie includes Finley, a Mini Poodle; Dolly, a Rat Terrier mix; and BG, the barn cat, all of whom happily share the ranch.

Their pet boarding facilities are designed with care and attention to detail. Each building is climate-controlled with central heating and air conditioning, ensuring that pets remain comfortable year-round. “We want every pet to feel at ease and free from stress,” says Eileen. To prepare for the Gulf’s hurricane season, the ranch is equipped with backup generators to maintain comfort during power outages.

Eileen and Kimberly take pride in offering personalized care for every pet. “Each animal has its own personality,” says Kimberly. “We take the time to understand their needs and ensure they feel at home while staying with us.” Whether it’s a dog enjoying a spacious kennel and playtime or a cat relishing a cozy and serene space, the Petrucha Ranch is a trusted haven for pet owners seeking exceptional care for their furry family members.
